Being a non-profit organization, volunteer work hours are extremely important.  The document below outlines the guidelines and requirements.

To sign up for work hours click on the blue DIBS bar below.  All of the unclaimed work hours will be listed and just click on the ones that you would like to do.  More work hours are added throughout the year so check back often for ones that you would like to claim.

After you have completed your hours and before you leave the ice center, you need to fill out a work hours form and have someone other than a family member sign it.  This proves that you were there completing your hours.

1.  Cashiers must be adults.  
2.  Concession & Skate Rental volunteers must be at least 13 years old.  No one under 13 years old is allowed in the concession stand (even if not working).
3.  Skate guards must know how to skate and be at least 15 yrs old for our daytime public skates and 16 yrs old (we may raise this age if it gets really busy) for our Friday and Saturday night public skates (we are starting with only Friday night skates in September).  There are red light weight jackets in the skate rental room that must be worn so people on the ice know who you are.  You are responsible for monitoring the behavior of the skaters, there is a list of rules located next to the red jackets.  No horse-play, tag or throwing of items is allowed.  No food or drink is allowed on the ice and we do not want skaters using their cellphones on the ice.  Skaters are given 2 warnings and then you need to be able to ask the disruptive skater to leave.  You are also expected to help put skates away in the skate rental room at the end of Public Skating.

4.  Locker room attendant you need to be SafeSport Certified.  See the link on our website Home page for getting certified.
          
Mark down the dates of our tournaments in December, January and March.  Save the dates of March to complete your Ice Bowling hours.
